GTL has been providing materials characterization solutions since our company inception, working within the electrochemistry and general UV-VIS spectroscopy fields. As modern instrumentation has developed to be more capable, more affordable and in many cases more compact, this market segment has allowed us to expand into a broad general field of analytical solutions deploying many of our instruments more as sensors and OEM products than we had thought was possible.
More than any of the fields in which we work, we encourage you to discuss your application with us to best determine how we may help.

AMETEK SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS

AMETEK Scientific Instruments is the global leader in the design, manufacture, and support of instrumentation for both the electrochemical and materials communities.  Comprised of Princeton Applied Research & Solartron Analytical, AMETEK Scientific Instruments delivers solutions to meet a vast range of performance and price requirements.

Princeton Applied Research and Solartron Analytical continue to innovate in both DC and AC measurements to the benefit of users studying energy devices, physical electrochemistry, corrosion, and solid-state materials.  Fueled by 110 years of instrumentation development, their product portfolio proudly generates the most-cited research in the world.

The two technology and market leaders present a range of single and multichannel systems with specifications for basic electrochemistry through to reference quality.  GTL markets the companies as the PAR/SOL brand and can be called upon to fully support the user from pre-sale, through the sales process, to help in installation and operational instruction and through any warranty or post warranty needs.

Energy Storage

Energy Storage and Energy Conversion devices are both used to fill the need for portable as well as renewable power.  Specific technologies are batteries, capacitors, fuel cells and solar cells.  In commercial devices, these are often used in combination as part of a power system.

The expanding need for electric vehicles is driving a rapidly expanding need for new battery technology. In addition to the PAR/SOL line of single and multi cell potentiostats and EIS systems, the SI-9300R Battery Analyzer provides the power, precision, sensitivity and reference measurements needed to meet today’s demands.

Scanning Electrochemical Workstation

The VersaSCAN is a single platform capable of providing spatial resolution to both electrochemical and materials-based measurements. Each VersaSCAN is based on a common high-resolution, long-travel, closed-loop positioning system mounted to a vibration-resistant optical base. Different auxiliary pieces are mounted to the positioning system. These ancillary pieces (e.g., an electrometer, piezo vibration unit, or a laser sensor) provide functionality to the positioning system for different scanning probe experiments. VersaSTAT potentiostats and Lock-in Amplifiers are integrated via ethernet control to make accurate measurements of these small signals.

Each technique uses a different measurement probe that is positioned close, but not in contact to the sample.  After a measurement is made at the probe, its position is incremented.  Plotting recorded parameter versus probe position creates a data map.  Depending on the technique, this map could represent local electrochemical current, impedance, relative work function, or topography.

Please discuss your need with us and we will help configure the best scanning options as well as the best electrochemistry workstation.

Vision Analytical

Vision Analytical Inc, has deep and highly focused expertise in Particle Size, Shape, Concentration and Classification. Their flagship product, Pi Sentinal PRO represents the state of the art in a dynamic image and particle shape analyzer.  This innovative class leading instrument is ideal for applications where particle shape, not just the particle size, may be critical information for predicting raw material quality and to maintain a high level of process control.

Particle morphology provides important information regarding the physical shape properties of your sample. It has been shown that shape can affect flowability, dispersion, packing density, segregation, aggregate formation, and microstructure character.

The fully automated Pi Sentinel PRO, now controlled by an All-in-One computer, is a well-suited research grade instrument or for use in a production process where speed, accuracy, and ease of use with its Pass/Fail shape control limits feature can be utilized.

RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY

GTL has been providing RAMAN systems for over 20 years and with the maturation of the technique now provides systems that are so affordable they could be considered as an enabling technology. Whether you are doing laboratory or field based RAMAN spectroscopy, we want to hear from you to discuss how we may help.

Ocean’s first RAMAN system was based on the ubiquitous USB2000 spectrometer providing the basis for the new RAMAN configurations offered today.  If a compact laboratory system is needed, we are confident we can provide you with a very affordable and highly capable solution.

Swedish maker Serstech provides GTL with a key suite of instruments for its CBRNE portfolio. However, the same instrument is configured to also do materials analysis featuring true hand held and rapid determination of unknowns.

Quick and easy verification of chemicals and materials saves time and money for users in various industries, including chemical production, laboratory work and environmental inspection. The identification can be done without opening plastic bags and other containers, which removes the need for cleanrooms and allows for the verification to be done without disrupting ongoing production and other activities.

The Serstech Solution is designed to be easy and quick to use, with minimal waiting times and without the need for operator training. The low weight and the small form factor make Serstech’s instruments truly handheld with up to 12 hours battery life allowing use in a full workday without recharging.

The instruments are 21 CFR part 11 compliant, with a complete audit trail and data integrity you can trust. Serstech’s solution is your perfect companion for inventory management and goods inspection.

Serstech’s instruments and software support your existing processes and can be customized in several ways. One is the report templates that can be defined by the admin and then can be filled out and signed by the user. Another is the flexible user rights management, which allows the administrator to set exactly what each user is allowed to do and edit in the system.
