OCEAN INSIGHT
Formerly Ocean Optics, Ocean Insight is the inventor of the field of Modular Spectroscopy. A source of pride for GTL is that we are Ocean’s longest serving distributor with 1000’s of spectrometers delivered into the Canadian marketplace. The evolution of the product range over the years has been one from individual components to full analytical solutions and it has been our pleasure to be part of this growth.
We have gained deep expertise about the Ocean product line up, the applications, the configurations and the support needed to provide our users with the best experience. Our support starts in the presale where we will learn about your application and offer our considered opinions on a best way forward.
The product that started the field of modular spectroscopy, circa 1992, the Ocean Optics S1000.
Analytical, Process, Educational, OEM Components and Systems
Ocean Insight produces both component-based solutions, and finished instruments and solutions. Components are configured with individual products put together via fiber optic cables to fulfill a range of functions. As part of GTL’s quality control, we do our best to test all systems prior to shipping to insure a positive out of the box experience. If you require installation or operational assistance, it is our pleasure to help whether with a phone or web call or as an optional onsite visit. Please consult with us and we will do our best to assist.
The range of applications we cover for the Ocean portfolio is too vast to list but suffice to say if you are measuring the components of light, if you need to characterize an absorbance, reflection, transmission, or a fluorescence or if you are considering RAMAN, or looking at process control, we will have a solution. Similarly, if you are considering a spectrometer as a sensor in your OEM build, we invite you to engage with us – we have deployed 1000’s of units from Ocean Insight.
Special note for Educational Users. It has been our continued pleasure to work with academic institutions putting together both spectrometer packages and curricula working within your budget.

SPECTRAL IMAGING
GTL is known as a spectroscopy provider and a go to company for optical spectral needs. More recently the combination of a spectral front end and an imaging camera is opening up new and exciting markets in the spectral imaging and hyperspectral imaging market space. GTL began providing multi spectral measurements through the Ocean Pixelteq group and now is proud to be able to provide complete hyperspectral imaging solutions.
Clyde Hyperspectral Imaging and Technology Ltd.
“We make and measure rainbows.”
Based in Clydebank, Scotland, Clyde Hyperspectral Imaging and Technology Ltd., (ClydeHSI) are specialists in hyperspectral imaging and optical spectroscopy, providing a wide range of both hyperspectral and conventional spectroscopy instruments and systems.
ClydeHSI takes care of the technology, so the user can focus on what matters – getting results. All their systems are supported by leading software for data acquisition, analysis and display.
ClydeHSI’s recent application focus has been in Heritage Art and in Food Quality and Security.
These are very much application-oriented systems, so we encourage an open dialogue with us to best configure a system to match your needs.
HinaLea Imaging
Hinalea’s award-winning platform unifies the power of hyperspectral and digital imaging to generate data-rich images revealing critical details about an item under investigation. Using a push broom front end coupled to a CCD or InGaAs camera, their series of HyperSpectral Cameras provide a cost effective and deployable solution.
Ocean Insight Series of Multispectral Cameras
Ocean’s FluxData group builds robust industrial imaging systems for the machine vision marketplace. Purpose built based on specifications for the application, these multispectral cameras are based on custom-specified filters for bands between 400-1100 nm. Their product range enables a range of applications including medical diagnostics, machine vision in process control, and safety and security. We encourage you to discuss with us your application.
PHOTONICS SOLUTIONS & SIGNAL RECOVERY
SIGNAL RECOVERY
GTL has been providing signal recovery solutions through one or more of its supplier-partners since the company incorporation. Sensitive measurements whether in photonics, electrochemistry, research facilities, or in industrial settings are needed to obtain the needed data. We have grouped these instruments into our Optical market segment but these can also be within the materials characterization segment and the nuclear research segment.
Solar Light Company
Solar Light Company, LLC has been providing research professionals with laboratory-grade solutions for the advancement of light sciences ever since they invented the world’s first Solar Simulator in 1967. The company is recognized worldwide as a premier manufacturer of Precision Light Sources, Light Measurement Instrumentation, UV Transmittance Analyzers, Meteorological Instrumentation, OEM Instrumentation, and over 135 different types of Sensors. They also provide a wide array of services, including accelerated UV materials testing, NIST-traceable spectroradiometric analyses, reflectance and spectral transmittance testing, and calibrations for light meters and light sources.
Solar Light is in the business of measuring the impact of environmental exposure. We believe that the societal risk and impact of environmental exposure is a long-term growth driver. Building on a 50+ year heritage of measuring and understanding the impact of solar UV, we provide a complete range of solutions from measurement products, to offering the services of measurement to our customers.
The SPF value assigned to your sunscreen, lotion, or even your protective clothing was most likely provided through a measurement from a Solar Light Exposure System. We have provided systems to most of the cosmetics manufacturers and their related laboratory partners.
Solar Light invented the first solar simulator and since has expanded their product range to meet a large range of exposure applications, atmospheric measurements, handheld metering and related needs. Consult with us if you need similar radiometric measurements and we will be happy to assist.
SynkTek
Swedish maker SynkTek has a long history in analog electronics design, offering customized solutions for a wide range of precision measurement needs.
